Jólapeysa

Jólapeysa pattern is my fifth Christmas pattern, 6th if we count the kids patterns. I wanted to make a pattern with Christmas lights. For the brave and patience ones, it would be so cool to use different colors for the light bolbs. Jólapeysa is maybe not the traditional Christmas sweater, a bit different but easy and fast to knit, never more than  2 colors at the same time.

The sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round.

XXS: 71 cm – 30 cm – 42 cm – 31 cm
XS: 81 cm – 32 cm – 44 cm – 32 cm
S: 86,5 cm – 34 cm – 46 cm – 33 cm
M: 96,5 cm – 36 cm – 47 cm – 35,5 cm
L: 109 cm – 38 cm – 48 cm – 36,5 cm
XL: 116,5 cm – 40 cm – 49 cm – 39 cm
XXL: 124 cm – 42 cm – 50 cm – 41 cm
3XL: 134 cm – 43 cm – 51 cm – 43 cm

Yarn: Saga Wool from Icewear Garn. If you don’t have access to either then choose a similar yarn that fits the gauge.

Yarn: Saga Wool from Icewear Garn – 50g skein – 100 m (Léttlopi or similar yarn would also be a great option)

Gauge
10x10cm = 18 sts and 26 rows on 5mm needles.

Circular needles: 4mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)

Double-pointed needles: 4mm and 5mm

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use 4,5mm or even 4mm I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
