Desember

Desember pattern is the first Christmas pattern I designed. I however didn’t think it would turn out good enough so I decided to knit Sitkagreni and Rúdolf first. I’m so happy I gave Desember pattern a chance because I think it turned great as a Christmas Lopapeysa.

Desember sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round, if you are used to knitting top down, the pattern is easy to follow the other way around if you prefer.

XXS: 75,5 cm – 30 cm – 42 cm – 31 cm
XS: 82 cm – 32 cm – 44 cm – 32 cm
S: 93 cm – 34 cm – 46 cm – 33 cm
M: 98 cm – 36 cm – 47 cm – 35,5 cm
L: 109 cm – 38 cm – 48 cm – 36,5 cm
XL: 115,5 cm – 40 cm – 49 cm – 39 cm
XXL: 122 cm – 42 cm – 50 cm – 41 cm
3XL: 129 cm – 43 cm – 51 cm – 42 cm

Yarn: Léttlopi from Istex, Plötulopi from Istex would also be great. If you don’t have access to either then choose a similar yarn that fits the gauge.

Yarn: Istex Léttlopi – 50g skein, 100m

Color A   Pine Green 1407 XXS(5), XS(5), S(6), M(7), L(9), XL(10), XXL(11), 3XL(12), 4XL(12), 5XL(13)

Color B   White 0051 XXS(1), XS(1), S(1), M(1), L(1), XL(2), XXL(2), 3XL(2), 4XL(2), 5XL(2)

Gauge
10x10cm = 18 sts and 26 rows on 5mm needles.

Circular needles: 4mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)

Double-pointed needles: 4mm and 5mm

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use 4,5mm or even 4mm I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
