Keilir

Description

Keilir pattern is a  simple design of a traditional Icelandic wool sweater. The pattern is knitted with Álafosslopi, making Keilir sweater extra warm and cozy! Keilir Lopapeysa will be a movie start next winter in the TV series Hildur, so stay tuned!

Keilir sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round, if you are used to knitting top down, the pattern is easy to follow the other way around if you prefer.

Gauge
10x10cm = 13 sts and 18 rows on 7mm needles.

Circular needles: 7mm and 6mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)
Double-pointed needles: 7mm and 6mm

Note that the pattern is knitted in the round, so it‘s good to knit the swatch in the round as well.

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use a smaller needle size. I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.

Note that if you need to knit a bigger width than the pattern offers, please contact me and I’ll help you calculate the width you need.
