Description

Krít pattern is a traditional Icelandic Wool sweater style I’m calling Krít. Krít means chalk in Icelandic and I thought it suited this pattern well. Also my parents had a horse named Krít and I always really liked the name, so why not use it for this pattern!

 

Krít sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round, if you are used to knitting top down, the pattern is easy to follow the other way around if you prefer.

Gauge
10x10cm = 13 sts and 18 rows on 6mm needles.

Circular needles: 6mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)
Double-pointed needles: 6mm and 5mm

Note that the pattern is knitted in the round, so it‘s good to knit the swatch in the round as well.

 

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use a smaller needle size. I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
