Naust pattern was originally designed to be a ‘viking ship’ pattern with runes, but most people see an anchor, so it can be whatever you like it to be. Naust lopapeysa is for kids ages 2-12 years old.

Yarn: Istex Léttlopi – 50g skein – 100m
Color A White 0051 2(4), 4(5), 6(6), 8(7), 10(7), 12(7)
Color B Murky 1420 2(1), 4(1), 6(1), 8(2), 10(2), 12(2)

Gauge
10x10cm = 18 sts and 26 rows on 5mm needles.

Circular needles: 4mm and 5mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size)

Double-pointed needles: 4mm and 5mm

NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use 4,5mm or even 4mm I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.

Naust sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round, if you are used to knitting top down, the pattern is easy to follow the other way around if you prefer.
