Stapavík
Description
This pattern is a traditional Icelandic Wool sweater style I’m calling Stapavík. I had a change of plans last summer when I was going on a hike in East Iceland. We ended up driving back and just randomly stop by a road sign where it said Stapavík. This random stop took us on about 2,5 hr walk a beautiful place that used to be an official trading harbor back in the day. Along the way are ruins of an old fisherman hut as well as beautiful views from the shore. This was such a magical day, the weather was perfect and I had great company in such beautiful scenery. I knew I had to use that name for a pattern and when I had finished knitting this sweater I just knew it was the one!
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round.

Note that the pattern is knitted in the round, so it‘s good to knit the swatch in the round as well.
NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use a smaller needle size. I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
This pattern has slim fit and a shorter body length, if you prefer a wider fit you should consider sizing.
I also want to mention that if this pattern does not have your size, please feel free to contact me and I’ll help you grade the right size for you.
